Over 35 years of experience as a clinician in the mental health field, in a variety of settings, I have helped people explore experiences and obstacles that have hindered them in creating a joyful life and becoming the best version of themselves they can be. Through the shared space of therapy, people have experienced safety, compassion and connection to work through difficulties from their past and support to challenge the aspects of their personal narrative that no longer work for them, to begin to envision and create the life they want for themselves and become the person they most want to be. Therapy can work collaboratively to free individuals from the symptoms of anxiety and depression, change maladaptive coping skills and find their voice in creating the life they choose.
Through a relational and psychodynamic lens, along with practical use of CBT, DBT, ACT and other problem-solving and experiential tools, I want to help people work through and let go of past burdens that hold them back and redefine who they are in line with their highest self. More joy is always possible, through curiosity and connection!
